November 27, 2006Police in Manhattan Beach, California, have arrested a Russian teenager for allegedly stalking 19-year-old singer-actress Hilary Duff.
Maksim Myaskovskiy is alleged to have threatened to kill Duff. He was taken into custody on charges of stalking and making criminal threats, and is now being held on a $200,000 bail.
The young Russian is reported to have told a private investigator on Friday that he planned to murder Hilary Duff at a public event on Sunday.

Acress Sharon Stone, who arrived in Moscow to open a luxury clothing boutique, has been subject to a date proposal from an unnamed Russian tycoon.
Stone has been offered $1.5 million for a short visit to some wealthy man’s home in St. Petersburg, the Komsomolskaya Pravda daily reports. The paper however fails to report on the star’s response to the offer.
Earlier it was reported that Madonna, who came to Moscow last month, received invitations of the same kind.
