A former USSR citizen has been awarded a record-setting settlement from her former spouse in divorce, $184 mln, which made the divorce process the most expensive one in the US history.

Maya Polsky, 55, filed for divorce with Michael Polsky in 2003. Judge William Boyd ruled in October 2006 that Maya has a right to claim half of her estranged husband’s fortune, which was $176 mln.

On June 4, the judge changed his mind and added to the $176 mln property that had not been considered earlier, thus increasing the settlement up to $184 mln, AP reports.
