Russia’s First President Yeltsin Buried in Moscow
The first Russian president Boris Yeltsin has been buried at Novodevichye cemetery in Moscow, the Interfax news agency reports.
Before the burial his widow and two daughters said their last farewell to him. After standing at the coffin in silence Naina Yeltsina kissed and crossed her late husband after which a litany was conducted.
The coffin was lowered into the grave to the sound of three artillery salvos. Then the Russian anthem was played.
