Russia’s No.2 mobile phone company Vimpelcom said on Thursday that its fourth quarter earnings were $198.0 million, falling short of market expectations, Reuters news agency reports.

New York-listed Vimpelcom said its net revenues rose to $1.45 billion in the final quarter from $1.36 billion in the third quarter. Analysts’ average forecast was for sales of $1.39 billion.

Vimpelcom has operations in Russia, Kazakhstan, Ukraine, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan and has wireless licences in Georgia.
