The widow and friends of former Russian spy Alexander Litvinenko have started a charitable foundation in his name.

The Litvinenko Justice Foundation aims to help those affected by Litvinenko’s poisoning death and pressure investigators to solve the case.

Police in London and Moscow launched parallel investigations after Litvinenko died of radioactive poisoning in London in November, but no one has been arrested yet.

Litvinenko’s wife, Marina, says the foundation will make sure that governments “take all possible steps to ensure that this crime is never repeated.” She says the foundation will also help anyone who suffered psychological, physical or material harm in the case.
