A Russian man who brought his 16-year-old son to Oklahoma City for brain surgery has had his visiting hours restricted after allegedly attacking a nurse, the Associated Press news agency reported on Wednesday.

Officials at St. Anthony Hospital say Sabit Kurbanov verbally and physically assaulted a nurse who was responding when the boy’s heart stopped beating.

Kurbanov was arrested for assault and battery and for a time was barred from the hospital. He can now return for limited visits with security present.

Doctors say Kurbanov’s son is brain dead and will not recover but Kurbanov says he doesn’t believe them.
