The government of Brazil is holding negotiations with Russian billionaire Boris Berezovsky, who is currently living in exile in London, regarding possible investments.

On Thursday, March 8, Brazilian newspaper Estadu di San-Paolo reported that Berezovsky met in his London office with the head of the Agency for promotion of export and investments of the Brazilian Ministry of Development, Industry and Foreign Trade Juan Kiros.

This information was confirmed to RIA Novosti agency by the press service of the Agency for promotion of export and investments.
Juan Kiros was quoted by the Brazilian paper as saying that Berezovsky’s group Media Sports Investment may invest in projects for construction of gas pipelines, ports and ethanol production.

“He (Berezovsky) made it clear that he is ready to invest billions in Brazil. We were informed that investments of $2 billion in ethanol production and port construction are already guaranteed. Altogether investments may reach $10 billion in the next few years and in other sectors of infrastructure,” Juan Kiros said.

The Brazilian official also said that the country’s government is now preparing a program for a visit by Boris Berezovsky and a group of his investors to Brazil.
