Bodies of two Russian female tourists were found at a hotel beach in Pattaya.

Tatiana Tsimfer, 30, and Lyubov Svirkova, 25, arrived in Thailand on holidays within a tourist group on February 16 and were supposed to leave on March 3.

As Pattaya Daily News informs, they received the information from a receptionist at Dragon Beach Hotel, where the girls were staying.

The victims were in their beach clothes slumped in their deck chairs.

Lyubov Svirkova was shot four bullets (one in her left arm, three in the abdomen) from a 9-mm gun.

Tatiana Tsimfer was hurt in her back. Both were shot with a 9mm pistol at a close range. A mobile phone, a pack of cigarettes, and two small bottles of Thai whisky were found on the table.

Footprints showed the gunman had been wearing combat type shoes. A security guard, who was near the site of the accident, heard gunshots and saw a man escaping on a bike.

He was first on the scene after hearing the first shot and some screaming for help, the further four shots rang out as he ran towards the scene, the assailant was described as young, although, no further details were given. A second witness said he saw the gunman driving away at speed in the direction of Soi Chiyapruk.

Police arrived to the site at 06:00 a.m. in the morning after they received reports on shots.

A police spokesman said he was shocked at the crime as there is no motive or theft, and is eager to bring this criminal to book, as this is very serious case, and damaging for tourism, as this is not the first time tourists have been discovered murdered on the beach.
