A net capital inflow in Russia will near $40 billion this year, President Vladimir Putin said at a Friday meeting with Lukoil CEO Vagit Alekperov, with the reference to preliminary information.

“The Central Bank chairman informed me of a preliminary assessment of the net capital inflow this Thursday,” Putin said.

“We kept speaking about a capital outflow from Russia and said it was $15 or 20 or 25 billion. However, this year we will have a net capital inflow, which is preliminary estimated at about $40 billion.”
