Russian Muslims Paid $45 Million for Haj Pilgrimage

The first group of haj pilgrims from Dagestan Republic, located in the Russian Northern Caucasus, departed for Saudi Arabia on Monday through Iran. More than 18,000 of Russian Muslims will go to Mecca this year to perform Haj pilgrimage. The figure is 5,000 more than last year, More than 13,000 of Russian pilgrims will travel to Saudi Arabia by land crossing Iran and some other countries.

Each Russian pays $2,500 for the full cost of the haj pilgrimage.
