Alfa Romeo Start Selling Cars in Russia
Major, the exclusive distributor of the Alfa Romeo in Russia, has begun selling these cars in the country, Major said in a press release.
The first consignment of 50 Alfa Romeo models has already been delivered to Russia. At present, the company is selling the Alfa Romeo 147, the Alfa Romeo 159 and the Alfa Romeo GT.
Major will start taking orders for the Brera and the Spider in mid- December.
The company received the status of the exclusive Alfa Romeo distributor in Russia in October and plans to sell 2,000 of the cars in 2007.
Major is to open two car showrooms in Moscow and St. Petersburg in the near future and it then plans to sell and service Alfa Romeo cars in 17 Russian cities.
Major is the official dealer for Volvo, Chrysler, Jeep, Mazda, Honda, and Nissan.
