Russian Passenger Jet Makes Emergency Landing After Engine Failure
Russian passenger jet with 62 people on board made an emergency landing in Rostov-on-Don, the information department of the Russian Ministry for Emergency Situations reported Friday.
The Tu-154 passenger jet took off at 8:02 a.m. (5:02 a.m. GMT). Right after the takeoff, one of its three engines failed, and the crew made a decision to burn out fuel and land in Rostov-on-Don.
The plane landed at 9:30, the sources said. “There were 54 passengers and eight crew members on board. Nobody was injured,†they added.
