Three activists from a pro-Kremlin youth group were detained Monday as they picketed the U.S. embassy building in downtown Moscow, the news website Gazeta.Ru reported.

A spokesman for the movement, Alexander Kalugin, told Gazeta.Ru that the activists had been detained as they attempted to pass a message to George W. Bush. They were brought to a local police station.

Protesters had staged the picket at the entrance to the embassy, holding slogans that read: “Bush, outer space is not a toy” and shouting: “Bush, outer space is not yours!” and “Stay out of space!”

Earlier RIA reported that some 100 young men and women took part in the action to protest the new national space doctrine of the United States, recently signed by George W. Bush.
